What makes a good story? How do we keep readers/viewers interested in what we have to say? This class will explore ways to use text, podcasts, and videos to capture your story and to create compelling content. Students will create their own blogs, and learn how to add images, videos, and hyperlinks to make the blog interactive. We will also explore voice over narration and story-telling using Audacity to make a podcast with a partner that includes music and other sound effects. Finally, we will explore telling stories with video, including still images, spliced video, words, and music.
Once the class if finished, each student should have a portfolio of work that illustrates her/his ability to write, to develop story lines, and to create interactive media pieces through podcasts and videos.
